| THE CEESO |
|
| A COLLEGE WHICH PREPARES YOU FOR THE PROFESSION |
The CEESO is known for its educational rigor, for its relationship with the French academic world, and for its connections with the wider world healthcare community and the scientific community. It has been designed to train high-level practitioners, with the clinical experience necessary to practise professionally, and also to integrate interdisciplinary medical teams or to participate in scientific research. Its programme prepares you for the examinations and the thesis required for the Certificat de Réception de fin d’Etudes Supérieures Ostéopathiques (D.O.) (osteopathy degree) and to become part of the Registre des Ostéopathes de France (Register of Osteopaths in France). Teaching complies strictly with the skills requirements dictated by the Registre des Ostéopathes de France (Register of Osteopaths in France). |
| QUALITY TRAINING AND COURSES |
The teaching of core subjects is provided by specialist osteopaths, general practitioners, high university-level specialist doctors, university teachers and researchers who have made a name for themselves within their profession.
Both theoretical and practical teaching of osteopathic subjects is provided by osteopaths who are members of the Registre des Ostéopathes de France (Register of Osteopaths in France).
As well as being experienced teachers, they also work in their own private practices or in clinics. Annually revised programmes, modern educational resources (video projectors, multimedia equipment and internet cluster), regular testing of knowledge and a research department, are all key elements in enabling you to acquire the knowledge and the degree of technical skill necessary to become very highly responsable practitioners.

| A GATEWAY TO THE WORLD OF HOSPITALS / MEDICAL SCHOOL |
From the third year onwards, our students participate at an osteopathic clinic several times a week either at our own community clinic within the establishment (“A Mains Nues” community clinic www.amainsnues.com), or at an external site (Péniche du Coeur / Sports Associations). This vitally important contact between young practitioner and patient makes it possible to put theory into practice and to apply the techniques learnt during the early years of study. These clinical sessions permit patient-care in real-life conditions, under the supervision of a qualified osteopath. The dynamism, organisation and performance of our clinic are strong points in our learning programme.
CEESO.
Located in a highly urban area, it provides our students with excellent source of patients. This is illustrated by the fact that the average patient travels just under one kilometre for treatment. To get an idea of what this implies, imagine the population density one kilometre around a healthcare centre, and you can see that on this point, the CEESO is an undoubted leader. Preparing all of our students in real-life conditions is necessary, but also reassuring for future osteopaths who will have exercised regularly at the clinic before becoming self-employed. This remains an important feature of the CEESO, which, above and beyond teaching, has also chosen to give equal importace to a mission of preparation. |
